Practitioner Profile

Since 2011, Natalie has completed levels 1 through 4 of the Equine Craniosacral Workshops with Maureen Rogers in addition to the Cranial Dissection and Equine Assessment Workshops. She is a member of the International Association of Animal Bodyworkers and the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. Before dedicating her work with horses to equine craniosacral, Natalie rode and trained for over 20 years in the disciplines of hunter/jumper, dressage, and natural horsemanship.
Natalie is also trained as a massage therapist and is currently studying for certification in Visionary Craniosacral Work at the Milne Institute. Other training includes Reiki 1 and 2 and animal communication. Natalie actively practices Iyengar yoga and meditation.
Natalie’s Story: “I grew up in Los Angeles riding and competing in hunters and equitation. As an adult I studied dressage and worked at a number of riding schools and as an assistant trainer, while at the same time pursuing academic studies in the humanities and sciences. In the late 1990s, I discovered natural horsemanship techniques and proceeded to apply these methods with positive results. This shifted my focus to foundational training and efforts to improve cross-species communication. Increasingly concerned with helping horses manage the mental and physical stresses of training, and the often artificial conditions of daily living, I discovered equine craniosacral work and was an instant convert, seeing immediate and long-term changes in the imbalances and compensation patterns that hinder movement and cause chronic pain in horses used for both performance and pleasure. As I go forward with my practice, I look forward to combining craniosacral work for horse and rider, helping to nurture healthy human and horse hearts, minds, and bodies.”
